Luxury car dealership fire leads to arson charges for 3 Calgarians

Three people are facing arson-related charges after a fire at a local luxury dealership in Calgary's southwest earlier this year.

An early‑morning fire at a luxury car dealership in Calgary has resulted in arson charges against three people.

Police say the fire broke out around 4:45 a.m. on March 16 at a dealership 1A Street SW near 55 Avenue.

The fire caused extensive damage to the building and to 25 high‑end vehicles inside. The total loss is estimated at $10 million, according to police.

Investigators determined the fire had been deliberately set.

Several suspects were identified following a two-month investigation. Police say there is no evidence to suggest the business owner was involved or connected to the suspects.

On Tuesday, police announced three Calgary residents, 45-year-old Kais Kassoua, 34-year-old Logan Drake, and 31-year-old Chayce Krayse, have been charged with one count of arson.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 403‑266‑1234 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
