SW Calgary stabbing sends one to hospital in critical condition

A man is in hospital after he was stabbed and found in life threatening condition at Sunalta LRT station in Calgary early Tuesday morning.

One person has life-threatening injuries after a stabbing in southwest Calgary on Tuesday morning.

Calgary police say officers responded to the area of 12 Avenue and 16 Street SW in the community of Sunalta around 7 a.m. for reports of an assault with a weapon.

Police say a victim was found with stab wounds and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, adding they are in stable condition.

Officers say one person is in custody.

While the investigation is ongoing, the area will have a “significant” police presence.
