Albertans are optimistic about business growth

People in our province are optimistic about future of business growth.
The Bank of Montreal says that Albertans are among the highest percentage of Canadians expressing confidence in local entrepreneurs making gains this year.
The Leger Marketing survey finds that across the country only 44 per cent of Canadians are optimistic about business growth.
Bill Hogg with BMO tells 660News that the people in the west are buoyant about the future.
He says the clients he’s spoken to, are not over the top but optimistic.
Hogg adds that now is the time for entrepreneurs to invest in new equipment and training to lay the ground work for future growth.
The optimistic outlook is most evident in commodity based economies out west.
53 per cent of Albertans believe in an upswing of businesses in their community, 55 per cent of residents in Manitoba and Saskatchewan have the same feeling.
According to BMO Economics the Canadian economy is expanding with real GDP growth, checking in at 2.8 per cent this year, and 2.6 next year.
GDP growth in the province is expected to top 3.6 per cent in 2011, and 3.4 per cent in 2012.
