Some students and staff at Strathcona Tweedsmuir School shaved their heads for cancer Friday.
The volunteers include three senior girls who will be donating a whopping eight or more inches of their hair.
The school says it’s a cause that’s very close to the heart for many people who have family and friends dealing with cancer.
So far this year, close to $16,000 has been raised by the school for cancer research.
