Police make big downtown drug bust

Calgary police have busted a drug operation being run out of two homes and a sub sandwich shop in the southwest.

Officers seized drugs, cash and weapons from three locations, including Subs ‘N More in the 300 block of 17th Avenue SW.

Police say cocaine labs were also discovered at the sub shop and at a home in the 300 block of Kincora Glen Rise NW.

In total, officers seized cocaine worth over $85,000.

Investigators also confiscated over $90,000 in cash, a canister of bear spray and numerous samurai swords and knives.

Seven people are facing numerous drug charges. Police also have a warrant out for an eighth man.
