CALGARY (660 NEWS) — A Calgary man is now facing more than fifty charges relating to mail theft in the Cochrane, Bearspaw and Springbank areas.
Mark Adam Forrest, 33, was arrested on Wednesday for identity fraud, fraud, possession of stolen property and use of stolen credit cards.
It comes after the region had seen a significant rise in the thefts of mail — the RCMP is hoping this will create a significant impact for rural residents.
Additional charges are pending.
Forrest will have to see a Justice of the Peace regarding his release before a new court date can be set.
