3 teens in hospital of suspected opioid overdoses

STRATHMORE (660 NEWS) – RCMP is investigating after three teens in Strathmore were taken to hospital in a case of suspected overdoses.

On Sunday, police responded to a call from EMS after a 16-year-old was found in medical distress after consuming prescription pills.

RCMP later found out two 15-year-olds were taken to hospital earlier that morning under the same circumstances. It’s believed all three attended the same house party Saturday evening and were taking opioids.

All three teens remain in hospital in critical condition. Strathmore RCMP says this was an isolated incident and will release updates as new details become available.
