One YMCA location will be closed in response to COVID-19

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — You can now add YMCA’S South Health Campus to the list of closures in Calgary.

It will be the only location closed until further notice and cleaning procedures have been increased at all facilities.

In a statement, the YMCA says they are also cancelling all birthday parties until May 1st and all drop-in classes will also be reduced.

All Aquafit and Gentle Fitness Classes for seniors are also cancelled until further notice. These classes are popular with seniors, which is a more vulnerable population to the Coronavirus.

The YMCA flexible membership has been modified, allowing members to suspend or place memberships on hold for up to three months, instead of the usual two months.
