The Alberta government says it will outline its plan to address EMS response times in a live update on Monday afternoon.
Over the last several months, stories have surfaced that detail the extreme delays some Albertans have faced.
Some of these include people waiting up to an hour or more for an ambulance to arrive and, in some instances, no ambulance showing up at all.

The union for Alberta paramedics says staff shortages due to underfunding has been a constant issue and these staff shortages have taken an effect on those having to cover for the lack of workers.
“Our paramedics are absolutely fatigued. They are struggling every day just to get through this and do everything they can to try and hold the [healthcare] system together,” said Health Sciences Association of Alberta president Mike Parker.
Parker says there are no supports from the government or Alberta Health Services and the province’s paramedics are struggling.
Alberta Health Minister Jason Copping and Alberta Health Services officials are due to provide a live update at 1:30 p.m.
That update can be viewed live on this site.
