Another first for baby gorilla Eyare: Calgary Zoo

The Calgary Zoo says Eyare the baby gorilla had another first, as she was introduced to “The eastern black-and-white colobus troop.”
The zoo took to Twitter to share a video showing Eyare socializing with her teammates.
Another first for little Eyare! ????????????

“It couldn’t have gone smoother,” the zoo tweeted. “Let’s hear it for the enrichment power of mixed-species habitats!”
Just last week, the zoo shared a video of Eyare experiencing her first snow in Calgary.

The zoo celebrated Eyare’s half-birthday, as it turned six months old on Oct. 20.

“She is becoming more independent each day. Here she can be seen playing with troop member ‘Yewande’ and visiting with ‘Zuri’ on her own for the first time without mom ‘Dossi’ close by. It was a milestone moment for our troop,” the zoo said in a tweet.
