City crews deal with large watermain break in southwest Calgary

The city is working to repair a sizeable watermain break in the southwest.

In a tweet, the City of Calgary says this watermain break is affecting 1000 homes and 100 businesses in the community of Silverado and some surrounding areas.

According to the city, residents may be experiencing low water pressure or none at all until the problem is resolved.

City crews are on-site and will be working throughout the night to get the break repaired as safely and quickly as possible.

Updates will be shared on the city’s website as they become available.
