Calgary Stampede Sneak-A-Peak goes tonight

This year’s Calgary Stampede officially kicks off Friday morning with the parade, but those looking to get a taste of the festivities will have the chance to do so at Thursday night’s Sneak-A-Peak.

Admissions to the grounds are half price, and the gates open at 5 p.m.

You can be among the first to check out a new ride on the midway — ‘The X-Drive’ which has two, giant arms which spend 360 degrees.

For the kids, there’s a new elephant ride, and an upgraded teacup toss-around.

There are also 57 new food options on the midway, including the Kool-Aid chicken burger, ketchup and mustard ice cream, peanut butter pickle dogs, and street corn lemonade.
