Calgary pop-star Tate McRae snubs hometown in upcoming 2025 tour

By CityNews Staff

Calgary pop superstar Tate McRae announced her 2025 world tour and has decided to skip her hometown.

The 21-year-old singer announced her “Miss Possessive Tour” on Thursday, which coincides with the release of her third album, So Close to What, on Feb. 21.

McRae is making multiple stops across Canada in August, including Alberta’s capital, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Toronto.

Zara Larsson and Benee are set to join McRae on the tour.

“Another dream come true !!!!!” she said on Instagram. “See u all soonnnn.”

It’s unclear why McRae decided to snub Calgary, but Saddledome’s well-known acoustics issues are being speculated by fans online as one of the reasons.

The hometown star performed recently at the Calgary Stampede Cowboys tent this past summer.

The 2025 tour kicks off in March in Mexico City and concludes in Inglewood, California in the States in September.

More information on her tour can be found on her website.
