A 48-year-old man is dead after a crash along Crowchild Trail in the city’s northwest Friday morning, Calgary police say.
Acting Staff Sgt. Mike Shushelnitsky tells 660 NewsRadio it happened near McMahon Stadium at 23 Avenue just after 2 a.m.
The single-vehicle collision led to delays in the Friday morning commute northbound on Crowchild as police investigated.
Officers were trying to determine what led to the vehicle striking a pillar supporting a pedestrian bridge.
The area re-opened just before 7 a.m.
