Calgary woman wanted for alleged sexual assault of teen boy at CTrain station arrested

Calgary Police are asking the public for help locating this woman accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy.

Police say a woman who allegedly sexually assaulted a teen boy at a CTrain station in south Calgary last month has been arrested following a public appeal.

Calgary police say a woman approached a 13-year-old boy she did not know on a sidewalk near the Somerset-Bridlewood CTrain platform around 3:30 p.m. on June 1.

The woman started talking to the boy and allegedly made “comments of a sexual nature,” before touching the boy in a sexual manner.

The woman left the area as the boy went to ask for help from an adult nearby.

Police said Tuesday the suspect had been identified as 49-year-old Calgary resident Regina Carla Fitzgerald, but officers had been unable to find her after making several attempts.

She was wanted on warrants for sexual assault and sexual interference of a child under the age of 16.

Calgary police announced on Wednesday a tip from the public led the officers locating Fitzgerald and arresting her.
