Calgary police are reaching out to the public to help identity two men who broke into a community centre in the city’s southeast earlier this month.

On Friday, July 18 just before 4:30 a.m., two people forced their way into the storage garage of the Lake Sundance community centre at 63 Suncrest Way SE.

Once inside, the men took a 2024 Gator utility vehicle and drove it into an alley roughly two blocks north, nearly Sunhurst Crescent SE.

Police say they abandoned the Gator there for about 48 hours before they came back and loaded it onto a flatbed trailer hitched to a pickup truck.

They then left the area heading north.

Investigators haven’t had any luck finding the suspects or the stolen Gator, and are turning to the public for help.

The suspect vehicle is a dark-coloured Ford pickup truck and the two men were last seen wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, or who may have information about the identity of the suspects is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or tip anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
