Immigration detainee escapes Calgary hospital during medical evaluation

Calgary Police and the Canada Border Services agency are on the lookout for this man, a detained Indian National who escaped from the Rockyview Hospital on Wednesday night.

Canadian border services agents are working with Calgary police to find an immigration detainee who escaped from a local hospital.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) says Indian national Jagdeep Singh was undergoing a medical assessment at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary Wednesday night when he escaped.

Singh is currently being investigated by the CBSA on suspicion he is participating in organized crime.

Border officials are working with police to find him.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911, and avoid apprehending Singh themselves.
