About Nadia
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Victorian literature and psychology at the University of Winnipeg, Nadia set her sights on something, shall we say, a little more marketable.
And she is glad she did.
With a communications/journalism diploma from Red River College Polytechnic, she worked as a general assignment reporter at the Winnipeg Sun and fell in love with being part of a news team.
Working as the Calgary Sun’s long-time crime reporter, she also wrote brunch reviews, a weekly pet section and covered everything from a royal visit to natural disasters, courts and elections. Other writing adventures include working for Postmedia, the Alberta Cancer Foundation and editing/writing for various magazines.
Being a journalist not only guaranteed working many holidays over the years and consuming far too much coffee but offered a platform to share stories that inform, entertain and sometimes make a difference.
Nadia is a long-time Citynews listener and happy to be part of the team bringing news to Calgarians.
