About Tate

Born in Calgary and raised in Okotoks, Tate is proud to call Alberta home. After graduating from NAIT's broadcasting program in 2021, he moved to Lloydminster where he worked as a reporter and anchor with Prime Time Local News. During this time, he also had the honour of calling hockey games for the U18 AAA Bobcats and Steelers. As an avid hockey fan growing up, Tate disregarded both the Flames and Oilers in favour of the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was one of the best decisions he ever made. Tate joined the CityNews Calgary team in July of 2022. What he likes most about his job, is that he actually LIKES his job.
