Man shot to death in NW Calgary home

The body of a man who police say was shot to death has been removed from an Edgemont home.

Investigators remain on scene after police rushed to the home after gunshots rang out on Edge Ridge Green NW early Monday morning.

Police are also going door-to-door trying to find out if neighbours saw or heard anything unusual.

The medical examiner’s office wheeled the body away on a stretcher, covered by a black tarp.

One neighbour tells 660News she heard gunshots just as she was getting ready for bed and, moments later, she heard a car speed by her window.

It’s a jarring scene for those who live in the upper, middle class community, as the forensic and homocide units try to figure out exactly what happened.
