KFC celebrates major milestone

Tuesday’s date marks the 70th anniversary of Kentucky Fried Chicken’s original recipe.

They celebrated in Kentucky by breaking the record for the world’s largest serving of fried chicken at over 7,000 thousand pieces.

A spokesperson from KFC tells 660News, it’s a proud day for the company and it’s amazing to think the secret recipe is still the same one used today across Canada, the U.S. and the world.

There are ten KFC locations in Calgary with the company’s first ever Canadian franchise opening up in our city back in 1953.
