Home invasion, possible abduction overnight

Calgary police are investigating another home invasion robbery.

Duty Inspector Darren Cave tells 660News officers raced to a home on Melvern Close in the northeast, after getting a 911 call around 4:00 a.m. Monday.

They found three victims inside.

The people behind the robbery had already fled the home before police arrived.

At this point, investigators don’t believe it was a random attack.

Police are also piecing together a possible abduction overnight.

A woman was allegedly forced into a car.

She was found about an hour later, after the vehicle hit a tree in Taradale in the northeast.

The driver has been taken into custody.
