Fire destroys home in Ramsay

A number of people are homeless following a two-alarm blaze at a house on Alberta Avenue in the southeast.
Fire Crews were called to the home just after 11:00 p.m. Tuesday; at the height of the blaze some 34 firefighters were on the scene.
Everybody in the house got out safely, but the people who lived in the basement – including a mother and her 12-year-old son – did not have insurance.
Investigators have yet to talk to the man who lived upstairs.
It’s believed the fire was accidental but a cause has yet to be pinpointed.
A brother of the woman who owns the home tells 660News she intends to rebuild.
