Former Premier Ralph Klein has dementia.
The Alberta political titan has been diagnosed with a form of the condition that makes it hard for him to read, write and recall words.
A doctor has also told him not to drive.
His wife, Colleen, tells The Calgary Herald Ralph hasn’t felt quite right for about two years, and it’s taken that long to find out exactly what was wrong.
Colleen is now Ralph’s sole caregiver.
Klein is still able to stay in his own home.
