Liberal attack ad slammed

The Liberals are out with an attack ad featuring video of a tarred and suffering duck in a Syncrude tailings pond.
The image is ripped right from the headlines covering the 2008 incident which saw 1,600 ducks die in the toxic oilsands sludge.
The Oil Sands Developers Group is slamming the Liberals over the ad, saying the tailings incident had nothing to do with any political party.
Calgary Centre-North Liberal candidate Stephen Randall tells The Calgary Herald the ad isn’t meant to undermine the industry, but to send the message that the current Conservative government doesn’t do enough to hold polluters to account.
