Headaches for CTrain riders this long weekend

CTrain riders are running into some headaches this long weekend.

A long list of maintenance projects on LRT lines downtown and in the city’s northeast, is forcing some people off of CTrains and onto shuttle buses.

One rider tells the Calgary Herald, she was stunned when she could only make it to the Erlton-Stampede station, before being bused the rest of the way downtown.

She says, she hadn’t heard anything about it.

Transit spokesman Ron Collins says the repair work is typically done on long weekends because of a drop in commuters. He says more projects are planned during the summer’s other holiday weekends.
