It was a dream come true for a little girl from Cardston this weekend; she got to bring home a new friend after going to Cavalia.
The Calgary Sun reports nine-year-old Hannah Smith came to the equestrian show in Calgary with her family and took home a four-year-old mare named “Nevada,” thanks to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
The foundation worked with Cavalia after Hannah had surgery to remove a benign brain tumour last spring.
Hannah and her family live on an acreage, giving the two new friends plenty of room to ride.
