Lethbridge teen body found

Lethbridge Fire and EMS river rescue have found the body of a 15-year-old boy who went missing Saturday evening.

The teen was found in the river downstream of where he was last seen, jumping off a bridge into the Oldman River.

He was swimming with friends near the Helen Shuler Coulee Centre when he disappeared.

Lethbridge emergency crews began their search in the water and shorelines until darkness prevailed Saturday night.

They continued their hunt at day break Sunday, only to find the body around 10:30am.

The teen was not wearing his life jacket with he jumped into the river and alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the death.
