Rafters rescued from Bow River

Two women who got lost on a raft on the Bow River over the weekend were able to use a cellphone to call police, but weren’t able to say where they were.
Mounties say the pair launched from Mackenzie town off Highway 22X on Saturday afternoon and lost their bearings.
Calgary police took the initial 911 call but the connection was soon lost.
Firefighters from Strathmore took to their boat and eventually found the women, who ended up spending six-and-a-half hours on the water.
