The Canadian Real Estate Association has revised its growth forecast for the year.
Chief Economist Gregory Klump says thanks to stronger than expected sales in B.C. and Ontario, activity will end up on the positive, not negative side.
Klump also says Alberta will lead the country in house sales in the third and fourth quarters.
The low interest rates that remain at housing friendly levels and the upbeat economic outlook also contribute to the growth.
He says while the real estate business isn’t booming, it still an oasis of stability compared to what’s happening.
