Family gets new home thanks to several Good Samaritans

A single mother and her four girls are calling a beautiful new house their home, after a team of builders, contractors and suppliers replaced the decaying house they used to live in.
The owner of Christian contractors, Kerry Wiebe, met Cheryl Morrissey through his charitable foundation that helps single parents.
Wiebe says when he found out Cheryl and her daughters were living without heat back in February, he went to check it out, only to find it in far worse condition than he first thought.
“Mould through all the floor joists and cold air flowing through all the plug-ins; the whole house hadn’t had a dime spent on it since it was built some 60 years ago,” he says.
Kerry says 15 minutes and a few calls later, he already had a number of people willing to donate supplies and labour to build the family a new house.
Now seven months later, Cheryl and her four daughters have a new lease on life.
“It’s beautiful furniture, everything matches. There are cups and and dishes that aren’t chipped and broken, and lots of food and beautiful pictures… it’s perfect,” she says.
The family walked through the doors in their new home for the first time on Friday afternoon.
