The switch to digital signal comes Wednesday

Those who still rely on rabbit ears or have old TV’s can expect to see snow on their screens starting Wednesday, as carriers switch to digital signals.
The CRTC says the switch to digital will affect some 850,000 Canadian households, mostly in urban areas.
To continue using their rabbit ears, affected views will have to buy a digital converter set top box or a newer television with a built-in digital converter.
Those watching the CBC won’t have to worry. The broadcaster got a one-year extension from the CRTC to keep its analog signals running until August 31, 2012 in 22 markets.
