Air Canada strike vote looming

We could hear Tuesday if Air Canada flight attendants have given their union a strike mandate.

They’ve been voting for the past 10 days, and results are due to be released.

They could walk off the job as early as September 21, when the current conciliation process expires.

An analyst tells The Financial Post, Air Canada would be hard pressed to find enough properly trained management and replacement personnel if the flight attendants strike.

The union held an information picket at Calgary International Airport Monday.
