Activists plan protest during Cheney talk at Palliser

Former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney is set to speak to a crowd of over a thousand Tuesday night at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel.
Meanwhile, some 150 activists are using Facebook to plan their demonstration on a page called, “Protest against war criminal Dick Cheney in Calgary”.
It encourages people to bring signs, banners, drums and whistles to aid in the demonstration, and the organizer says there will be no violence.
Police say they’ll be outside the hotel to maintain crowd control.
