Canadians aren’t crazy about online shopping

Christmas is two months away, and some are already thinking about starting their holiday shopping.
But according to a new report, Canadians aren’t as likely as people in most other developed nations to shop online.
The survey by ORC International finds 82 per cent of shoppers in this country have bought something over the internet, compared to the global average of 93 per cent.
Many 660News listeners on their way to work say they actually enjoy the shopping experience.
“I like shopping because I like to go out there and visit with people and actually buy things, and it’s good for stores,” one listener says.
Others shop online as a last resort.
“Generally, I buy online if it’s cheaper or I can’t find what I want in the store,” says one man.
But still, there are some that think shopping online is more of a hassle.
“I can’t be bothered to wait for it to come in the mail, and then I don’t pay off my credit card… so it’s easier to just pay by debit,” says another woman.
