Those passionate about wine may want to attend a couple of wine tasting events taking place in Calgary this weekend.
Natalie Maclean is the author of a new book called “Unquenchable” and will be show-casing what she believes is good tasting wine at an affordable price.
Maclean tells 660News the price of wine has really gone down over the years thanks in part to more competition.
“More than ever wine makers know what to do with the particular grapes that grow best in their region. So now I find there’s a sweet spot in the range of $10 to $15 and you know, up to $17 or so where you really can get a wine that tastes twice as expensive as it costs,” says Maclean.
The wine tastings will be held at “Pages Books” in Kensington on Saturday.
