Kitchen fire in S.E. under investigation

The Calgary Fire Department is working to determine what caused a blaze in the southeast just before 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Battalion Chief Al Magwood says the fire started in the kitchen of a duplex in the 3200 block of Dover Crescent.

“The common wall has been torn open and part of the ceiling has been brought down but aside from that, the other residence … is still habitable and this one is quite repairable,” says Magwood.

There were no injuries and no word on a damage estimate yet.
