Youth needed for Parks Canada program

The Federal Government is looking for two young Canadians who have a love for our national parks to become ambassadors.
Recruiting for “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Park Canada Youth Ambassadors Program” has begun and is eligible for anyone between the ages of 18 and 25.
Canada’s Environment minister says they are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills and a commitment to volunteering.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Parks Canada Youth Ambassadors Program will help build a stronger Canada by inspiring young Canadians to connect with our country’s treasured places,” said Minister Peter Kent. “They will help us shape a national conversation about what it means to be Canadian – what it means to be young in Canada – what connections we still have to our geography and to our history.”
The two lucky ones chosen will also be asked to find ways to get other youth involved in our national parks.
