A new poll shows Canadians generally support Enbridge’s proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline.
It’s scheduled to transport crude from Alberta’s oilsands to British Columbia’s northwest coast where it will be taken by oil tankers overseas.
The Calgary Sun reports an Abacus Data survey shows 38 per cent of those polled supported the pipeline, while 29 per cent oppose it.
A spokesman for Abacus Data says the environment and the economy are the two issues top-of-mind for Canadians in relation to the project.
