Deerfoot crashes cause major slowdowns

Two southbound lanes are blocked on Deerfoot Trail under the 16th Avenue overpass after a semi-trailer jack-knifed at around 6:30 a.m.

Drivers can expect long backups.

Meanwhile, police and emergency crews are on scene at a serious injury collision on southbound Deerfoot Trail between McKnight Boulevard and 32nd Avenue Northeast.

Traffic will be slow through that area as well, with one lane blocked off.
