Health Canada shuts down Calgary-based website

A Calgary-based website has been shut down for selling a life-threatening supplement.

www.themmsstore.com was selling Miracle Mineral Solution that can cause life-threatening reactions.

The sodium chlorite in MMS is used by veterinarians as a germicide and as a disinfectant.

In a release Health Canada says “there are no therapeutic products containing sodium chlorite authorized for oral consumption by humans in Canada, consumers should consult their health-care practitioner if they have used or are using MMS products.”
