A scary incident for a woman in the city’s northwest Sunday night when three men broke into her home in Hawkwood.
Calgary Police Duty Inspector Shawn Wallace says the men were wearing masks when they apparently kicked in a door to a house in the 100 block of Hawkwood Boulevard.
“They confronted a female victim. As soon as that confrontation occurred, the three males fled the scene and ultimately left in a motor vehicle,” says Wallace.
Fortunately, he says the woman wasn’t hurt.
Police are still searching for the suspects in a vehicle described as a black or dark blue Jeep or Hummer-type vehicle.
Investigators don’t know yet whether the home was targeted or if the perpetrators hit the wrong house.
