Explosion and housefire in Brooks deemed suspicious

RCMP are investigating an explosion and fire at a home in Brooks early Tuesday night and are calling it suspicious.
Just after 6 p.m, fire crews responded to the home, the owner was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
It’s believed the home owner was opening the back door when an explosive gust of air sent him backwards.
No other injuries have been reported.
The fire department also had to put out a blaze in the basement of the home.
