Paramedics rushed a man to hospital early Saturday morning after he was hit by a car in the city’s far southwest.
Duty Inspector Darren Leggatt tells 660News it happened at the intersection of Old Banff Coach Road and 101st Street around 2:30 a.m.
“It does not appear that alcohol or speed were factors in this collision, it appears the pedestrian in question was actually walking the middle of the roadway when struck by the vehicle.”
The victim’s condition has been upgraded from life-threatening to serious.
No one else involved in the collision was hurt.
