Second teen dies following weekend crash near Red Deer

A second teen has died from his injuries following an alleged drunk driving crash that happened near Red Deer last weekend.

RCMP confirm Tyson Vanderzwaag, 18, passed away Friday morning at Foothills Hospital.

The crash happened in the early morning hours of March 31st, when five people got out of a car to push when they ran into mechanical issues.

They were struck by a Ford Focus, and Colton Keeler, 19, died on-scene.

April Gail Beauclair, 19, from Lacombe is charged with impaired driving causing death in relation to the crash.
