Multiple fires spring up around Calgary

A busy afternoon for firefighters.
Just before 1:00 p.m., crews battled a blaze in the southeast community of Penbrooke.
Two people and three dogs escaped from the detached bungalow and the fire was quickly put out.
EMS had to care for one person.
Then around 2:00 p.m., crews were called to Symons Valley Road and 144th Ave. in the northwest for a large grass fire.
Large plumes of thick, black smoke were spotted as far away as Springbank on the west end of Calgary.
There were no injuries in the second fire.
Later, crews were called to a private property at 64st and 210 Avenue West for a grassfire, which had 1,000 square feet fully engulfed.
Several abandoned vehicles, including a motor home on the property were damaged, but thankfully crews saved the residence and no injures were reported.
