Tory candidate requests judicial recount

The closest race in the provincial election will be settled by an Alberta judge.

The Progressive Conservative candidate for Calgary-Fish Creek, Wendelin Fraser, is asking for a judicial recount in the riding after a close loss to the Wildrose Party’s Heather Forsyth.

According to The Calgary Herald, the official count in the race shows a 40 vote margin win for Forsyth, compared to a 74 vote difference on election night.

The judicial recount must be done within 10 days.
