School officials revisit bus fees

City public school officials are reacting to the parents concerns of a new fee regime.

A month ago, the Calgary Board of Education introduced a bus fee that would see parents of students bused to alternative programs paying double then those in regular programs.

The Calgary Herald reports the changes prompted a chorus of criticism and now the board is revisiting the proposal.

A number of open meetings will be held throughout May, with a recommendation meeting set for May 31st.
