Man escapes after vehicle crashes into garage

A man luckily escaped without injuries Tuesday night after crashing his vehicle through a garage in the northeast.
Emergency crews responded to the 1800 block of 38th Street just before 6:00 p.m. to discover a vehicle had travelled up a driveway and went right through the rear wall of a double attached garage.
The garage suffered extensive damage as a result, but the man driving the vehicle was uninjured.
The fire department’s heavy rescue team was called out to assess and secure the building.
