Lougheed House vandalized days after former premier’s death

Calgary’s Lougheed House is a place where residents can honour the former premier, but this weekend it’s also where some decided to vandalize.
Only a few days after Peter Lougheed’s death, staff found the home had been sprayed with graffiti, tagging the metal roof of the secondary tower, a chimney and another wall.
House Director Blane Hogue believes the mischief is likely a coincidence, but it’s hurtful because of the timing of his death.
It’s believed the building was targeted either late Saturday or early Sunday, as the vandals managed to climb up to the second storey of the mansion, where the graffiti is visible from the grounds.
The Herald reports an empty spray paint can was spotted in the grass near a flower bed.
